What happens when I disable or remove a module?

Disabling stops a module's active routes and integrations; recoverable removal is different from permanently deleting module-owned data.

Check dependencies and references first

Use Module Manager rather than deleting a module directory by hand. A module can refuse permanent removal when another component or page still references it. Back up before any destructive removal and read the confirmation carefully.
