Refund & Digital Delivery Policy
Refund and digital-delivery terms for software and bundle purchases made directly through FreeholdCMS.com.
Effective and last updated: September 19, 2026.
This policy applies to software and bundle purchases made directly through FreeholdCMS.com. Free Core is a no-cost download and has no purchase price to refund. Custom development, hosting and third-party services are governed by their own agreements and are not covered by this Store refund policy unless expressly stated.
1. Review before purchase
Freehold CMS is self-hosted software. Before purchasing, review the product description, included modules, dependencies, supported environment and other published requirements. If anything material is unclear, ask before purchase.
2. When a refund may be appropriate
We will review a direct-purchase refund request when circumstances such as the following apply:
- You were charged more than once for the same intended purchase.
- Payment completed but the purchased digital product was not delivered and we cannot restore valid delivery.
- The supplied product has a material defect that prevents it from substantially performing as described and we cannot provide a reasonable correction, replacement or workable remedy.
- Published compatibility or dependency information was materially inaccurate at the time of purchase and that inaccuracy prevents use in the environment that otherwise met the stated requirements.
- A refund or cancellation right is required by applicable law.
3. Situations that are generally not refundable
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, a refund is generally not provided solely because you changed your mind after receiving or downloading the software, decided not to use it, lacked a requirement that was accurately disclosed before purchase, chose an unsupported environment, experienced a third-party hosting/provider problem, or modified the software in a way that caused the problem.
Installation time, custom modifications, outside service fees, domain costs, hosting fees and payment-provider charges are not part of the software purchase unless expressly included in written purchase terms.
4. Ask us to troubleshoot first when practical
If the problem appears technical, contact support with the order number, product, environment and enough detail to reproduce the problem. We may ask for a reasonable opportunity to diagnose or replace the affected package before deciding a defect-based refund request. You do not need to provide passwords, private keys or unrestricted provider credentials.
5. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment provider and for the amount actually paid for the refunded item, subject to provider and legal requirements. Provider processing time can affect when funds appear. A refunded software entitlement, protected download or associated commercial license may be revoked when the refund is completed.
6. Bundles and partial refunds
A bundle is sold as one product containing the listed package set. Partial refunds for individual components of a bundle are not normally available unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing. If a bundle-level defect or materially inaccurate disclosure qualifies for a refund, the request is evaluated against the bundle purchase as a whole.
7. Duplicate, unauthorized or disputed charges
Contact support promptly if you believe a charge is duplicated or unauthorized so we can investigate the order and provider records. This request does not limit any dispute or consumer rights you have through the payment provider or applicable law.
8. Mandatory rights
Nothing in this policy removes consumer, cancellation, warranty or refund rights that cannot lawfully be excluded in your jurisdiction.
9. Requesting help or a refund
Use the Freehold CMS Help Center or email support@freeholdcms.com. Include the order number and a concise description of the issue. Do not include passwords, full card numbers or card security codes.
