Freehold CMS Free Core · $0 software license

Free Core is the self-hosted starting point for a straightforward business, publishing or customer-information website. It gives you the shared Freehold CMS administration plus the free publishing, navigation, help and search-submission tools, without forcing commerce, accounts or other systems into a site that does not need them.

The public package is still being finalized. You can review the exact role of Free Core, its current included components and hosting responsibilities now.

What Free Core includes

  • Freehold CMS Core and guided installer.
  • Blog 2.0.1 for dated articles, categories and publishing.
  • Navigation 2.1.2 for managed site menus.
  • Help Center 2.2.2 for public answers and customer-support paths.
  • Search Submission 2.0.2 for supported sitemap and URL-submission work.
  • Freehold Classic 6.0.4 presentation for the public site and administration.

What it is good at

Use Free Core when the immediate job is publishing useful information, maintaining menus, answering common customer questions and managing supported search submission from one administration area.

It is a practical base for a brochure, publishing or customer-information site, and compatible commercial modules can be added later without replacing the site foundation.

What it deliberately leaves out

Managed standalone business pages, custom form workflows, public customer accounts, member profiles, Store orders, hosted checkout and product licensing are separate capabilities.

That boundary is intentional: start smaller, then add the module or dependency-complete bundle when the business job actually requires it.

It runs on hosting you control

Freehold CMS is installed on compatible PHP hosting with MySQL or MariaDB. You provide the domain, HTTPS, database, backups and any outside services the site uses. Your content and operational records remain in the database for the installation you control.

Review the hosting requirements before installation

Choose Free Core when

You need a clean publishing foundation now and would rather add specialized systems later than install a large suite on day one.

It is especially sensible when the first version of the site is informational, editorial or support-focused.

Step up to a bundle when

The launch already depends on managed sales pages, inquiry workflows, customer accounts, community participation, products, payments or software-license delivery.

A bundle groups the required dependencies so the purchase matches the whole job instead of leaving setup half-complete.

Public package status

The public Free Core ZIP is being finalized and tested. Until that package is published, this page is the accurate product overview rather than a download promise.
