Build in small steps
- Create the form and give it a clear purpose.
- Add only the fields needed for the next action.
- Mark truly required fields as required.
- Configure validation, uploads and conditional questions where needed.
- Test a real submission before publishing the form widely.
Long forms are easier to abandon. Ask for information because the workflow needs it, not because a field is available.
