What does Search Submission do?
Search Submission can submit the Core-generated sitemap to configured Google and Bing services and can send IndexNow URL notifications.

It tells search services where to look
Core creates the sitemap and baseline SEO data. Search Submission handles optional provider notifications. It does not guarantee indexing or ranking and it does not replace useful page content.
Configure only the providers you actually use, then enable automatic submission only after their credentials are verified.
