How do profile privacy and online presence work?
Profiles and Community lets members manage the profile and presence information the site exposes, while User Manager continues to own sign-in and account security.

Profile visibility is not account security
Use the member profile/settings controls for public profile information and online-presence choices. Changing profile visibility does not change the account password, email verification or Store ownership.
