What is the difference between an administrator and a customer account?
Administrator accounts manage the website. Customer accounts use public membership, support, community and commerce features.

Two different jobs
An administrator can manage site settings and installed features according to assigned permissions. A customer signs in through the public customer area for purchases, downloads, support or community features.
Do not use an administrator account as a customer test account. Test both paths separately.
