Profiles and Community adds member-facing profile and interaction features on top of customer accounts.

User Manager supplies the identity and sign-in foundation. Profiles and Community adds the public or member-facing profile experience and the community relationships configured by the site.
Disabling the community layer should not delete the underlying customer account.
Profiles and Community can provide friend connections and one-to-one private conversations when those features are enabled.
When enabled, Gallery can provide configurable five-point ratings, comments and community rankings on approved member images.
Account removal can affect orders, licenses, support history and other records, so the site must separate removable profile data from records it is required to retain.
Profiles and Community lets members manage the profile and presence information the site exposes, while User Manager continues to own sign-in and account security.
