How do I verify a downloaded ZIP file?
When a release provides a SHA-256 checksum, compare it with the checksum of the ZIP before installing.

A checksum is a file fingerprint
SHA-256 produces a long fingerprint for a file. If the published fingerprint and the fingerprint of your downloaded ZIP match exactly, the file you have matches the published package.
If they do not match, do not install the archive. Download it again from the official source or ask support.
