What is the difference between Store and Payments?
Store owns products, carts, orders, inventory and delivery records. Payments connects eligible orders to supported payment providers.

Keep the boundary clear
You can need Store without online payment processing. You cannot use Payments as a product catalog by itself.
If checkout is failing, first determine whether the order/cart is wrong or whether the external payment step is wrong. That narrows the investigation quickly.
